Energy planning for a generative Switzerland
Gerhard Schmitt, Professor emeritus for Information Architecture, ETH Zürich
Energy is playing an increasingly important role in the strategic planning of the cantons and municipalities. Investments in a networked sector coupling between mobility, health, food and energy can already reduce Switzerland's dependence on excessive imports in the medium term and thus increase the freedom of its citizens. The prerequisite is a further development of the concept of sustainability in the direction of re-generativity and generativity. Examples are shown with which Switzerland can achieve its extensive independence in energy and food in the long term and open up new perspectives for mobility and health.

Federal energy and climate policy. Ongoing business
Kurt Bisang, Deputy head of energy efficiency and renewable energies, Swiss federal office of energy, Bundesamt für Energie
The federal government’s energy and climate policy pursues demanding short- and long-term goals. A number of measures are being taken to address the risk of the shortage of gas and electricity for this winter, and for the next one. The presentation gives an overview of the current status of political business, including a digression on the possible consequences for digital innovations.

A climate-friendly and reliable energy supply is possible. A workshop report
Christian Zeyer, Co-CEO, swisscleantech
Already in 2014, swisscleantech’s energy strategy demonstrated how Switzerland’s energy supply could be redesigned to be more economical and climate-friendly. The past energy model has been adapted to the developments of the last 10 years. We are convinced that: Security of supply and climate protection go hand in hand. We give insight into our thoughts and show the direction in which we’d like to move.
